Dental Implants in JLT, Dubai

Permanent replacements for missing teeth, planned and placed in JLT

Replacing missing teeth with dental implants in JLT

A missing tooth changes more than the way a smile looks. The teeth either side begin to drift, the opposing tooth over-erupts, chewing shifts to the other side of the mouth and the bone that once supported the root slowly shrinks away. A dental implant is the only replacement that addresses that last part, because it replaces the root as well as the crown.

At Hey Dental in Goldcrest Executive, Cluster C, we plan implants digitally, place them in our own surgery and restore them — so one team is accountable from the first scan to the final crown.

What is a dental implant?

When a dental implant may be the right choice

An implant assessment is usually worth having if any of the following apply to you:

Implant treatments we offer in Dubai

The right solution depends on how many teeth are missing, how much bone is available and what you want the final result to do. These are the options we most often plan at our JLT clinic:

Single tooth implants

One implant and one crown replace a single missing tooth without touching the healthy teeth on either side — unlike a conventional bridge, which requires them to be prepared. The crown is made to match the shade and shape of your natural teeth.

Implant bridges

Where several adjacent teeth are missing, two or more implants can support a fixed bridge. Fewer implants than missing teeth are needed, which keeps treatment simpler and the cost lower than replacing each tooth individually.

Implant-supported dentures and full-arch solutions

For patients missing most or all of the teeth in an arch, four to six implants can support a fixed full-arch bridge or a secure clip-in denture. Both stop the movement and rubbing that makes conventional dentures difficult to live with.

Bone grafting and sinus lifts

Where a tooth has been missing for years the bone may have shrunk below what an implant needs. Grafting or a sinus lift rebuilds that support so implant treatment becomes possible. We assess this from a 3-D scan at the consultation, not halfway through treatment.

How implant treatment works at Hey Dental

Treatment starts with a consultation and a 3-D scan that shows the bone in cross-section. From that we plan the exact position, angle and depth of the implant digitally before anything is placed.

Placement itself is a minor surgical procedure carried out under local anaesthetic, and most patients describe it as more comfortable than an extraction. The implant then integrates with the bone over roughly three to six months, during which you wear a temporary tooth. Once integration is confirmed, we take a digital impression and fit the final crown, bridge or denture.

Afterwards, implants are maintained like natural teeth — regular hygiene visits and good cleaning at home are what make them last.

Why implants matter for long-term dental health

Because an implant replaces the root, it keeps loading the bone in the way a natural tooth does, which slows the bone loss that follows every extraction. It also leaves neighbouring teeth untouched, keeps the bite stable and restores close to full chewing efficiency — something dentures rarely manage.

The trade-off is time and cost: implants take months rather than weeks and are a bigger investment than a bridge or denture. At the consultation we set out all the options honestly, including the ones that are cheaper than implants, so the decision is yours to make with full information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Implant fees in Dubai vary widely because the treatment is not one item — it is the implant itself, the abutment, the crown, the imaging and any grafting the site needs. At Hey Dental you receive a written, itemised estimate after the 3-D scan, so you can see exactly what is included before you commit.

We will also quote the alternatives, such as a bridge or a partial denture, so you can compare fairly. Interest-free instalment plans over 3–12 months are available with leading UAE banks.

A straightforward single implant usually takes three to six months from placement to final crown, because the implant needs time to integrate with the bone. The appointments themselves are short; most of that period is healing.

Where grafting is needed, add a few months. Where the bone quality is good and the site is suitable, immediate placement and a temporary tooth on the same day is sometimes possible — the 3-D scan tells us which situation you are in.

Placement is carried out under local anaesthetic and is not painful. Most patients report it felt easier than they expected and easier than having a tooth taken out, because implant sites are prepared gently and precisely.

Afterwards you can expect some soreness and mild swelling for two to three days, managed with ordinary painkillers. We give written aftercare instructions and a direct number to call if anything concerns you.

The implant itself is designed to last decades, and many stay in place for life. The crown or bridge on top is the part that wears — typically fifteen years or more before it needs replacing.

What decides longevity is maintenance. Implants can develop gum disease around them (peri-implantitis) if plaque is left to build up, so regular hygiene appointments and good cleaning at home matter more with implants than with almost any other treatment. Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes both reduce success rates.

Most adults with healthy gums and enough bone are suitable. Where bone has been lost, grafting or a sinus lift can often create the support needed, so a previous “no” elsewhere is not always final.

Factors we assess include gum health, bone volume on the 3-D scan, your medical history and medication, smoking, and how your bite loads the area. Implants are not usually placed in patients who are still growing. The consultation gives you a clear yes, no, or “yes, after this first” — never a vague answer.
