Specialist-led orthodontics for every age
Hey Dental provides orthodontic treatment for children, teenagers and adults at our clinic in Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Treatment is led by Dr Urmi Mazumder, our Specialist Orthodontist, and planned from a digital scan, so tooth movement is designed rather than estimated.
Whether the concern is crowding, gaps, an overbite or teeth that have shifted years after braces, the first step is the same: a full assessment, an honest discussion of the realistic options, and a written plan with timings and costs before anything begins.

Fees are quoted as one inclusive price covering the appliance, all adjustment visits and the first set of retainers. You receive it in writing after the assessment. Interest-free instalments are available through Tabby or Mamo, subject to their approval (AED 300 service charge), and many patients spread payments across treatment. A specialist orthodontic consultation is currently half price.
Braces or clear aligners?
Clear aligners such as Invisalign are removable and nearly invisible, and suit mild to moderate crowding, spacing and relapse. They need to be worn 20 to 22 hours a day, which suits disciplined adults and older teenagers.
Fixed braces, metal or ceramic, remain the more predictable option for complex rotations, significant bite correction and growing children, because they work without relying on remembering to wear them. At the consultation we tell you which is the better clinical fit for your case, not simply which is more popular.
Orthodontics for children and teenagers
Children benefit from an orthodontic assessment around age seven, when the first adult molars and front teeth have come through. At that stage we are usually watching rather than treating: checking how the jaws are growing and spotting crossbites, severe crowding or the effects of thumb-sucking while they are still simple to influence.
Early interceptive treatment can reduce the length and complexity of braces later, and sometimes avoid extractions altogether. Teenagers are treated with fixed braces or aligners depending on the case and how reliably aligners are likely to be worn. Our children’s dentistry team works in the same clinic, so referrals happen in-house.
Orthodontics for adults
You are never too old for orthodontics, provided the teeth and gums are healthy. Many of our adult patients had braces as teenagers and have seen their teeth drift, or want straightening before cosmetic work. Straightening first can mean fewer veneers, or none, which protects more of your natural teeth.
What happens at your consultation
- Assessment. Examination of teeth, gums, bite and jaw, plus a digital scan and photographs.
- Options. Dr Urmi explains what is possible, which appliance suits your case and how long it is likely to take.
- Written plan and fee. You leave with the plan, the timeline and the inclusive price.
- Treatment and reviews. Regular visits to adjust braces or check aligner progress, with the plan updated if teeth move faster or slower than expected.
- Retention. Teeth move for life, so retainers are part of every plan, and we explain them from the start.
Why straight teeth matter beyond looks
Straight teeth are easier to clean, wear more evenly and put less strain on the jaw joints. Correcting a crossbite or deep bite can also protect teeth from chipping and wear. Orthodontics is as much about long-term dental health as appearance.
