Same-day emergency dental care in JLT

Dental emergencies rarely happen at a convenient time. A tooth that starts throbbing on a Friday evening, a crown that comes off before a meeting, a child who takes a knock at the pool: all of them need someone who can see you today, not next week.

Hey Dental keeps emergency appointments open every day at our clinic on the 1st floor of Goldcrest Executive, Cluster C, Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Call us and in most cases we will see you the same day during opening hours. If the pain is severe, tell our reception team when you call so we can prioritise you.

Emergencies we treat

  • Severe toothache or throbbing pain. Usually deep decay or infection. We diagnose on the day and relieve the pressure.
  • Chipped, cracked or knocked-out teeth. Repaired, splinted or re-implanted, depending on the injury.
  • Lost crowns, veneers or fillings. Re-cemented or replaced so the tooth is protected and comfortable again.
  • Dental abscess or facial swelling. Drainage, medication where clinically indicated, then definitive treatment.
  • Bleeding, swollen or painful gums. Assessment and immediate treatment.
  • Sports and accident injuries. Trauma assessment, splinting and follow-up for adults and children.
  • Wisdom tooth pain. Relief from inflamed gums around a wisdom tooth, and a clear plan for what happens next.
  • Broken dentures or loose brace wires. Same-day repairs wherever possible.

What happens at your appointment

  1. Pain first. We find the source with an examination and low-dose digital X-rays, and relieve the pain.
  2. Explain. You will know what has happened, what the options are and what each costs before anything starts.
  3. Treat. Most problems are stabilised or fully treated in the same visit: fillings, temporary crowns, the first stage of a root canal, drainage of an abscess or an extraction.
  4. Plan. If anything still needs finishing, you leave with a written estimate and a follow-up booked.

We treat adults and children, our team speaks English, Hindi, Urdu and conversational Arabic, and no referral is needed: just call, message us on WhatsApp or book online.

What to do before you get to us

  • Knocked-out adult tooth. Hold it by the crown, never the root. Rinse it gently in milk, and either slot it back into the socket and bite on a clean cloth, or keep it in a cup of milk. Do not put a baby tooth back in.
  • Broken tooth. Rinse with warm water and keep any fragment you find.
  • Swelling. A cold compress on the outside of the cheek, ten minutes at a time.
  • Pain. Take your usual over-the-counter painkiller as directed on the packet. Never put aspirin on the gum: it burns the tissue.
  • Lost crown. Keep it safe and bring it with you; do not glue it back yourself.

What an emergency appointment costs

An emergency appointment starts from AED 300 and includes the consultation, the X-rays needed for a diagnosis and immediate pain relief. We tell you the cost of that visit before you sit in the chair, and if further treatment is needed you get a written estimate first. We don’t offer direct billing, but we complete your insurance claim paperwork and provide the reports for your claim, and we offer interest-free instalments through Tabby or Mamo (AED 300 service charge) for larger treatment.

Emergency dental care: your questions

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe or throbbing toothache, facial or gum swelling, a knocked-out or loosened tooth, a broken or cracked tooth, a lost filling or crown that is causing pain, and bleeding that will not stop after an extraction all need prompt care. If you are unsure, call us and we will advise you.

Can I be seen the same day at your JLT clinic?

Call +971 4 450 8717 as early as you can. We keep time for emergencies and aim to see patients in pain the same day during opening hours: Monday to Thursday 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

What should I do if a tooth is knocked out?

Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. If it is dirty, rinse it briefly in milk or clean water, then try to put it back in the socket or keep it in a small cup of milk. Call us and come in straight away; the best results come when a tooth is replaced within an hour.

When should I go to a hospital instead?

If you have swelling that is spreading to your eye or neck, difficulty breathing or swallowing, a high fever, or a serious facial injury, go to the nearest hospital emergency department first.

Does insurance cover emergency dental visits?

Many UAE insurance plans cover emergency dental consultations and pain relief. We don't offer direct billing: you pay on the day, and we complete your claim form and provide the reports your insurer needs to reimburse you.
