Clear aligners such as Invisalign are removable, nearly invisible and suit mild to moderate crowding, spacing and relapse after previous braces. They need to be worn 20–22 hours a day, which makes them a good fit for disciplined adults and older teenagers.
Fixed braces — metal or ceramic — remain the more predictable option for complex rotations, significant bite correction and growing children, and they work without relying on the patient remembering to wear them. At the consultation we tell you honestly which is the better clinical fit for your case, not simply which is more popular.
Children benefit from an orthodontic assessment around age seven, when the first adult molars and incisors are through. At that stage we are not usually treating — we are watching how the jaws are growing and spotting problems such as crossbites, severe crowding or thumb-sucking effects while they are still simple to influence.
Interceptive treatment in the early mixed dentition can reduce the length and complexity of braces later, and in some cases avoid extractions altogether. Teenagers are treated with fixed braces or aligners depending on the case and how reliable wear is likely to be.
Orthodontic fees depend on the complexity of the case and the appliance used, and are quoted as one inclusive price covering the appliance, all adjustment visits and the first set of retainers. You receive that estimate in writing after the assessment, before treatment starts.
Interest-free instalment plans over three to twelve months are available with leading UAE banks, and many patients spread payments across the treatment period. Retainers are essential afterwards — teeth move for life — and we explain the retention plan at the outset so there are no surprises at the end.
