Dr Tina Hirani

Dr Tina Hirani is a UK-trained oral surgeon who trained and practised in the UK for 15 years before moving to Dubai. She holds a Master’s degree in Oral Surgery, Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and postgraduate qualifications in implant dentistry and dental education. She brings a calm, professional and patient-centred approach to oral surgery at Hey Dental in JLT.

Her work covers routine and complex extractions, including wisdom tooth removal, minor oral surgery, soft-tissue procedures and oral biopsies. Patients who need surgical care can be seen in the same clinic as the dentists who look after their everyday care, so treatment is planned together.

Alongside her surgical practice, Dr Tina has completed postgraduate training in the assessment and management of tongue-tie (ankyloglossia). She has a particular interest in helping newborn babies up to six weeks old whose tongue-tie is causing feeding difficulties: see tongue-tie release for babies.

Patients often mention her reassuring, approachable manner. She takes time to explain the options clearly, so that everyone feels informed and at ease before and throughout treatment.
